Sean Paul spreads Mad Love at Sandals Ochi

In a tribute to life and love, Jamaican Superstar Sean Paul brought life to the lawns of Sandals Ocho Rios Beach Resort on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in an extravaganza dubbed Mad Love: The Sean Paul VIP Experience.
Only weeks away from releasing his new EP, Mad Love: The Prequel, Sean Paul teamed up with the popular hotel chain to treat guests to a thrilling one hour performance. Prior to the event, ten Americans, ten Jamaicans, and their guests, were selected to experience this special concert in VIP style. They were treated to an exclusive meet and greet with the Grammy award winning artiste after his stellar performance.
Both international and local guests staying at the hotel were afforded a night of Jamaican music and energy. Sean Paul’s tour Disc Jock- DJ CopperShaun from the Coppershot Sound started the night with high energy sounds from several Jamaica’s highly celebrated artistes.
Many of the international patrons were surprised and excited for the lifetime opportunity to watch Sean Paul perform live. John Chubb who was on vacation from Ohio, was one such guest who was beyond elated because his timely arrival at the hotel gave him the exclusive Mad Love experience.
“The Sean Paul show was unbelievable! I checked in, they said Sean Paul is going to be here, I said come on you are pulling my leg! But nighttime came and there he was and Sean Paul was bringing it man! The crowd was there, the dancers, everything was unbelievable. Sean Paul is a legend, right here in Jamaica and I was here!” recounted Chubb.
Sean Paul’s appearance and performance pulled a large crowd of guests to the front lawn of Sandals Ocho Rios where they indulged in a taste of the extensive repertoire built by Grammy Award winning Sean Paul over his hit riddled career which spans over 20 years.
He opened the show with Baby Boy, Cheap Thrills and other hits which elicited hearty cheers from the masses. His set also featured crowd favourites such as Gimme the Light, Temperature and Give it up to Me. Sean, during his performance, urged patrons to celebrate the gift of life and also performed a special tribute for single mothers and parents in general in the form of Rockabye, an award winning hit with Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie.
Sean Paul called to attention the hard work, dedication and love of a parent in a touching testament about his own, sharing with an attentive audience about the recent loss of his own father and being a parent himself.
The energy remained high and constant throughout the hour and at the end the crowd was reluctant to let him go. In a display of strength, love and passion, Sean Paul was able to encourage and uplift his fans in a way unique only to the Jamaican star.
Sean Paul can next be seen in London at the Capital Summertime Ball, on Saturday, June 09.
