Sean Paul as captured by New York Photographer Johnathon Mannion

Kingston, Jamaica; Multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning, super-star Sean Paul has signed with Island Records.
Falling under the internationally acclaimed umbrella brand, Universal Music Group; Island Records has been paralleled with Reggae and the Caribbean, being associated with many successes in the industry including that of the famed Bob Marley.
“What Sean has done for Jamaica and helping reggae music cross over makes him nothing short of a cultural icon” President of Island Records U.K. Darcus Beese, told Billboard.
After steamrolling the deal with Island Records, the artiste decided to make it official due to a good run so far. Sean Paul has expressed that the deal has given him the space and creative freedom he has grown accustomed to, having been producing with his own label.
Having maintained a chart topping peak on the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks with Sia collaboration Cheap Thrills, Sean Paul now sits at #2 and is still the featured airplay gainer on the music chart.
The artiste has been making numerous strides since signing with Island Records, a deal which Beese describes to be “absolutely a natural fit”. Sean Paul has been putting in a lot of work since making the chart topping collaboration with Sia, saying he feels anew, he has fans looking forward to a new single in November and the official release of his latest collaboration LUV with controversial Hip Hop sensation Tory Lanez.

Also, Sean Paul’s Trumpets has been going viral with fans worldwide posting their choreography videos online to be liked and shared by even more Sean Paul fans.
Hinting to even more productions with the likes of famous producer David Guetta and Shakira, as well as Jamaican dancehall artiste Chi Ching Ching with whom he did Crick Neck which is already out, Sean Paul is feeling refreshed and ready for even more #1 hits. The Jamaica-based artiste told Billboard that he is “loving the resurgence of dancehall. Dancehall has now become mainstream international music, rather than underground where it was for years. He also added “Island is an iconic label” It makes me feel new all over again.
Now I have got a deal with Island where they recognize that ‘he knows what his fan base needs and knows exactly what he wants to put out. We don't need to help him in that direction. We need to facilitate people knowing about his work.’ That's just a great thing for me.”

Sean Paul looks to take the stage at Bestival 2016, to be staged at the Robin Hill Country Park where Sean Paul can be seen on the final night September 11 as well as the already sold out Electric Ballroom in Camden, London on September 13.

Sean Paul is encouraging fans to keep a watch out for show and tour dates on his website at allseanpaul.com and look out for a new single in November as well as an album in 2017.
