Days after having his United States work visa reinstated, dancehall deejay Aidonia says promoters should beware of scammers.
“There are already fake Facebook pages out there, trying to scam my fans. I do not handle my own bookings and it definitely would not be over social media. US promoters, you can only book Aidonia through Headline Entertainment,” said Aidonia.
He announced that Headline is now his exclusive booking agent, for all US territories, which include the US mainland, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.
With the significant demand for dancehall in the US, Aidonia (born Sheldon Lawrence) and his team are are sure that the market is clamouring to see him live.
The deejay, who recently released his EP Project Sweat and has a catalogue of favourites including Nuh Boring Gal — which has been remixed to feature Sean Paul and Bungi Garlin — Chicken Head, Kingfish Ah Come, Inna Di Ghetto, Unknown Assailant, Eagle, and Ooku, is excited to perform for his US fans.
“Look for me in a city near you. I know my team is working hard to confirm some interest for shows. I’ll be there soon,” he said.
Headline Entertainment’s Managing Director Jerome Hamilton feels it is a good time for Aidonia to return to the U.S. market.
“Aidonia has done well for himself, even though he was not been able to perform in the U.S. We know that his fanbase has seen his performances in Europe and the Caribbean and that the promoters want to bring his show to their audiences,” Hamilton said. “But they can only do that by calling 876-618-BOOK (2665) or e-mailing email@example.com.
