Jesse Royal, Dre Island & Pentateuch added to Capture Land Jamaica line-up

The ‘Small Axe’ Jesse Royal has been added to the line-up for the upcoming Capture Land JAMAICA Tour Part II, slated to get underway on Friday, December 18 inside the Jose Marti Technical High School in Spanish Town.

The Modern Day Judas hit maker will also be delivering lyric flames to ignite night three of the show in Falmouth on December 20 while Up Town Down Town lyricist Dre Island is expected to deliver thumping lyrics on night two in Manchester, December 19. The first two shows will begin at 8:00pm and end at 12:00am while the finale is scheduled from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

The opening night line-up will be completed by upcoming Reggae/dancehall artiste A-Game with musical selections being provided by Lion Trod. Night two will definitely be going Rastafari Way as the inimitable Dre Island is set to perform after Earth Kry’s opening set. Closing night is expected to be of epic proportions as popular Roots Reggae, Dub Band Pentateuch is also expected to line-up alongside Jesse Royal and Chronixx and the Zinc Fence Redemption with Yaadcore on the wheels of steel.

With each concert, produced by the Chronixx Music Group, being staged in non-traditional venues to ensure an intimate setting Brendon ‘Barnz’ Sharpe, Chronixx’s manager, revealed that having a small line-up is in keeping with the intimate delivery of the music as well as upholding the quality of the show.

“We learned a lot of lessons from the initial tour, and one was how appreciative patrons were of how the music was presented. It was interactive and vibrant, it was not rushed and we definitely want to continue that trend so we kept the additions minimal. At the same time however, we want to offer diversity so we have gone with opening acts on each night alongside Jesse Royal and Dre Island who are incredible performers on any stage inside any venue and we expect quality shows and exciting performances,” said Barnz.

Tickets for the Spanish Town show will cost JMD$1500 at the gate with presold tickets at JMD$1000 available at First Choice Sports Apparel and Total Gas Station, Brunswick Avenue. The Manchester show outlets are Mi Hungry Restaurant and Fancy Fruits Health-staurant while the Falmouth outlets are Lifelong Pharmacy, Total Gas Station and Modern Rebroadcasting Company. Tickets for Manchester and Falmouth are JMD$1800 presold and JMD$2000 at the gate. Tickets for the Manchester show are also available at the Manchester High School and Heaven's Fesco. High school students with ID will only pay JMD$500 per show.

The Capture Land JAMAICA Tour Part II follows the successful staging in March which resonated with fans across the island. Part II of the tour now seeks to reinforce the artiste’s belief that music should be accessible to all Jamaicans. With strong views and a militant approach to his faith, the artiste will share with patrons his way of life and as such notes that the event will be meat and alcohol free.

The Capture Land Jamaica Tour Part II kicks off on December 18 at the Jose Marti High School in Spanish Town before moving on to Mandeville on December 19 at the Manchester High School and culminates in Falmouth on December 20 at the Martha Brae Rafters’ Village.
