Portland Jerk Festival partners with Corporate Transport Services

Corporate Transport Services Ltd. will provide comfortable and affordable trips to the Portland Jerk Festival, slated for Sunday, July 5. The company’s Corporate Express bus service is also the official carrier for the Miss Jamaica World contestants to and from the event to be held at the Heritage Site at Folly Grounds in Port Antonio.

Corporate Transport Services’ round trip specials for patrons include; one special round trip rate for $2,700JMD, a package deal which includes a round trip ticket and a ticket to the event for $3,500JMD. Patrons who purchase tickets before June 27 will get the same package at a reduced rate of $3,200JMD.

Patrons will also be able to park their vehicles at the Corporate Express office located at the Oakland House on 5-7 Hagley Park Road, Kingston 10, while they shuttle to and from Portland Jerk Festival. The transport company has put in place special arrangements to accommodate comfortable travel to what is known to be the largest annual jerk and food festival in Jamaica.

To make ticket reservations, call 754-9014 or 754-7827, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and on weekends between 10am and 3pm.

The Festival has also partnered with the Jamaica Urban Transit Company Ltd (JUTC) who will be offering patrons round trip transportation at a cost of $1,500JMD. Patrons can contact the JUTC at 1-888-CALL-JUTC to book their seat and for additional information. 

The Portland Jerk Festival is poised to be an affordable, inviting experience for Jamaicans and tourists alike. The Folly Grounds will be open from 10 a.m. and vendors will, as usual, offer samples of their specialty dishes, as well as local favourites like rice and peas, festival, breadfruit and yam.

The Festival will this year feature local and international gourmet chefs including Lorraine Fung, Gariel Ferguson and Judson Todd Allen ‘The Architect of Flavour’.  This year, the organisers promise to showcase how jerk has evolved over the years and how the world now interprets jerk. To complement the festival’s culinary experience, patrons can also expect a fulfilling entertainment package.

Patrons for the 2015 Portland Jerk Festival will benefit from a partnership with Corporate Transport Services for easy affordable transit to the event at Folly Grounds come Sunday, July 5. Tickets for the Portland Jerk Festival are now on sale for $1000JMD presold, $1200JMD at the gate and only $500JMD for children. Gates open at 10:00AM.
