Bull Bay, St. Andrew is the venue for a blazing pre-Christmas performance on Saturday, December 6 as Raging Fyah Production stages its annual party, Wickie Wackie Live. Partnering with RJR’s Kingston Music Week, the roots reggae band Raging Fyah is set to connect with fans in an intimate performance.
The event also features a number of young reggae acts and promises a good vibe for reggae lovers. The live band event that began in 2011 is recognized for its involvement in showcasing some of the top young acts and bands in Jamaica. Over the years, Raging Fyah Production has been known for attracting reggae lovers from across the island to an easy vibe of reggae on the beach.
Delroy Hamilton, band leader of Raging Fyah believes the event plays an important role in unearthing new talent. “Wickie Wackie Live is the forum where we put new artistes or new bands to the fore front. We give them a platform to show their talent. This year we will be presenting an all female band Adahzah. Another first time artiste to the show is Riko G.
“The Wickie Wackie Live event and venue is second to none in Jamaica. Its venue is right on the beach by the sea shore where you can feel the fresh breeze and we also have a bon fire that gives it a more spiritual vibe. It is an experience, not just a show,” he explained.
Destiny, the group’s second album was releases earlier this year and has been well received by fans. The group however has been away from the local scene for a while with several overseas commitments and is promising fans an unforgettable performance that will include hits such as Brave, Jah Glory and Nah Look Back from the Destiny album.
“This is the first time Raging Fyah will be performing in Jamaica for a long time. So we are definitely going to have a good show, a good performance. Jesse Royal, a small axe which is one of ‘the man’ right now is coming with his ‘A’ game,” said Hamilton.
Wickie Wackie Live takes place on December 6 at Wickie Wackie in Bull Bay St. Andrew. The event is a partnership between Raging Fyah and RJR Group Kingston Music Week.
