Conkarah to Release Oceans Away Single and Video

Fully energized from his recent sojourn to Cuba, Kingston born crooner Conkarah is getting ready to launch his new single and video, Ocean’s Away.  The video highlights the myriad of emotions that a break-up brings. The emotional theme of the video is contrasted by the beauty of its Havana locale. Produced by Australian Reggae luminary Tuff Tumas on the Only Love Riddim, both the song and video for Oceans Away will be launched in early March.
Ocean’s Away depicts not only Conkarah’s personal experiences but also his observation of everyday emotional life situations. “I have been in long distance relationships so I know its tough, I have also seen good friends in the same situation”, Conkarah explained. “The location of the video also lent itself to the theme of long distance relationships addressed in the song,” said Conkarah when asked why he chose Cuba for the backdrop of his sixth video clip.
Fresh from a well-received US Tour, Conkarah is in success-mode. Conkarah’s run in February took him through New Orleans and Texas. In New Orleans, he lived up to his name and rocked the crowd with songs like Heavy and Be Mine featured on  his new EP Loverbwoy/Rudebwoy. His performance set the stage for music veterans, JBoog and Warrior King. The first leg of his tour took him to Houston and Austin, where he performed over a three-day period, gaining positive crowd and triumphantly exclaiming “ I sold out all the cds I had in my bag”.
WWLTV and WWOZ 90.7 in New Orleans invited Conkarah to do live performances for their morning television audiences after catching ‘Conkarah fever’. His venture on the reggae-acoustic stage was such an overwhelming winner that he intends to add this genre to his repertoire. Conkarah wrapped up his Southern Tour with a successful live band performance at the world reknown Publiq House in New Orleans .
Conkarah begins intense promotion of his Oceans Away single and video locally and internationally in March.
