Appleton Mound adds new After Party Fervour

The Appleton Special Jamaica Rum Mound Mania this year will bring cricket revelry to a whole new level with the addition of two extra hours of partying each day after play, featuring live performances from some of the biggest stars in Reggae and Dancehall.

Cherine Anderson, G-Whizz and Voicemail will bring the after party to life at cricket’s most exciting party stand during the Jamaica leg of the Celkon Mobile Cup One Day International Series involving the West Indies, India and Sri Lanka at Sabina Park.

Known for its high energy atmosphere, cricket on the Mound is expected to bowl over spectators from Friday, June 28 when the West Indies play Sri Lanka, again on Sunday, June 30 as the Windies take on India and Tuesday, July 2 when India square off with Sri Lanka.

The Appleton Mound All Inclusive party stand will score a hat-trick with patrons enjoying drinks all day, lunch and entertainment, in addition to the after party festivities and daily giveaways. The Mound is the spot to be for all-day excitement, even for the non cricket fan. Win, lose or draw, the party continues on the Appleton Mound, as patrons eat, drink and rave from morning until night. Additionally, the pool surrounded by sand, creating a beach atmosphere, is a perfect bonus for spectators at the start of the summer.

The cricket experience has been transformed since the addition of the Mound, producing each year a special fusion of sports and entertainment both for cricket fans and for those not so inclined to the sport.
The Mound has experienced some transition throughout the years but Peter Green of Caribbean Sports Marketing says the 2013 Appleton Special Jamaica Rum Mound Mania will leave cricket fans breathless.
“All I can say it’s going to be three days of fun filled cricket and partying, we as Caribbean people know how to mix sports and entertainment, and there is going to be lots of that come June 28,” he said.

Patrons will be treated to Appleton Lunch Time Fun and Games, plus one of the new twists is Appleton Mound specialty cocktail mixes being served throughout the day. There will also be meals from Juici Patties, hot dogs from Bad Dawg and pizza from Pizza Hut to complement refreshing drinks during and after a spectacular game of cricket, plus Pepsi and Razz Beer to jazz up the excitement and free product sampling.

Ticket prices are $5,000 on Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30 while on Tuesday, July 2 patrons can enjoy all the spectacle of the Appleton Mound for $3,500.
