Ghetto Youths International showcased at Reggae Explosion 3

St Maarten will be getting a full dose of the resolute and unique flavor of Ghetto Youths International at Reggae Explosion 3 with what is guaranteed to be energetic performances from headliner Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley and Ghetto Youths International’s own Wayne Marshall and Black-Am-I.

On Monday April 29, at the St. Maarten Carnival Village the members of the Ghetto Youths International Crew will be showcased for the first time after the release of the Ghetto Youths Presents Set Up Shop Vol 1 album in February. The show presented by Ennia and Nagico also features Jamaican artiste, Busy Signal and American recording artiste Miguel.

The artistes will be making stops in Central America before their St. Maarten appearance. Costa Rica will first see the artistes on Friday, April 26 then they hop over to Panama on Saturday April 27 before ending their series of shows in St. Maarten.

Set Up Shop Vol 1 album has gained chart success after its release on February 26 where it peaked at the #1 spot on the US iTunes Reggae Album Chart and #2 in the UK. Wayne Marshall contributes to the album with hit single Go Hard and lends his expertise in Damian Marley’s Independence. Black-Am-I supports the album with two singles, Samson Strength and Modern Day Freedom.

The compilation features talented GYI artistes including Jo Mersa and Daniel ‘Bambaata’ Marley, the third generation of Marley Performers, Wayne Marshall, Black-Am-I Christopher Ellis and Marley Brothers-Stephen, Julian and Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley. Also featured are noteworthy collaborations from the likes of exceptional musicians: Jah Cure, Bugle, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Akon, Tarrus Riley and T.O.K.
