Wayne Marshall is now busy on his first solo Europe tour which kicked off on Friday, February 22. Wayne will be bringing Reggae music to eight countries with 19 shows over four weeks, making his first appearance in Spain, Norway and Switzerland. Other countries on his tour line-up include Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Denmark.
This tour precedes the much anticipated release of his fourth album – True Colours, to be released in April of this year. Described by Wayne Marshall as his best work to date, True Colours, which is produced by Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley for Ghetto Youths International (GYI), features collaborations with Tarrus Riley, Konshens, Bounty Killer and Sean Paul.
Go Hard, the first single from the album, has been on rotation locally and internationally, and has peaked at number one on several Dancehall charts. The music video which was debuted in December on entertainment website worldstarhiphop.com, amassed over 3 million views in less than 24 hours of being released. The single will also be featured on Ghetto Youth International’s compilation album Set Up Shop. Set Up Shop also includes In Dependence, another single by Marshall, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, Taurus Riley and T.O.K.
This year, Wayne says that his fans can expect an improved and evolved Wayne Marshall, and they will see it not only in his new album but in other projects to come. This evolution, he credits to Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley and the strong role he plays in helping to facilitate his upward movement in the entertainment industry with the work being done with Ghetto Youths International.
Wayne Marshall is also the brand ambassador of Appliance Traders Limited along with his wife Tami Chynn.
