Good Memories, Good Times

The Good Times 2012 party season culminates with Good Times: A Night To Remember at the New Mas Camp on Saturday, December 1. Good Times fan can enjoy their favourite retro party for a small cost of $800 presale and $1000 at the gate.

Good Times: A Night To Remember is slated to be the biggest Good Times event of the year.  In addition to free flowing bars, great music and electric stars for the venue, Heineken Good Times promises live performances.

"We never reveal who the DJ's are, or who the performers might be before the party," explained Jerome Hamilton, one of the party promoters.  "Our patrons are pleasantly surprised when they arrive and love the music."  In fact, the members of The Quorum, promoters of Good Times, expend much effort to create the perfect party atmosphere with music; the selectors are carefully chosen and extensively briefed. "Patrons must leave the party dripping with sweat from dancing all night. That is our goal!" Hamilton declared.

Patrons can also get into the party by visiting the Good Times Facebook page and make song requests online.  Several lucky patrons making song requests will win free tickets to the party.

As the music pumps at the party series, patrons can flock to the four full service bars that populate the venue.  Heineken, a perineal sponsor, offers Heineken bar deals and Heineken bucket deals that offer great value for party goers that drink responsibly. "To support our 'drink responsibly' tag, we offer water and a full range of soft drinks at the bars.  And we have several drink options to suit every taste," acknowledged Bobby Chantrelle, The Quorum Executive Member.

The wide open space of the New Mas Camp is the perfect back drop for Jamaica's premiere oldies party.  "The venue lends itself well to our infrastructure," elaborated Chantrelle. "Our partners, TEAM Solutions, bring in extra lights, screens and equipment to bring Mas Camp to life. The lights reflect the tempo of the music and the video content enhances the experience even further," he added.

The venue also has great parking and a free flowing entrance/exit gate.  "We can accommodate thousands of cars in a controlled well lit space," contributed Daren Allwood, the third Quorum Executive Member.  "Atlas security guards patrol the bright parking lots and escort patrons to the gates. Our female patrons really appreciate this service," Allwood noted.

With nearly half of the tickets sold in advance at locations all over Kingston and in Portmore, long lines at the gates are a thing of the past. "Our network of outlets includes Music Mart, Cuddyz, Total Service Station, Genus Pharmacy, L.G. Brown Service Centre and Just Call Couriers and our professional cashiers quickly expedite ticket sales at the gate," continued Allwood.

Part proceeds of every Heineken Good Times event since 1996 have gone to the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Center, formerly Golding Rehab.  In addition to cash contributions, The Quorum members give their time to read to residents on the Children's Ward, help to fix the roof and other infrastructure and petition others to donate.  Patrons anxious to make their contributions are welcome to bring non-perishable food, clothing, books and other relevant items for the donation bin at the party entrance.

Heineken Good Times: A Night to Remember takes place at Mas Camp on Saturday, December 1 starting as early as 9:00 pm. Patrons pay an entrance fee of $800 presale and $1000 at the gate to finish the year with a “night to remember” at the final Heineken Good Times party for 2012.
