Carib Queens

Jamaica's Under-15 Girlz football team pulled off a thrilling 3-2 victory over hosts Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Football Union Youth Tournament at the Marvin Lee stadium in Macoya here yesterday. Boosted by a double strike from the Most Valuable Player of the final, Sherika Williams, and another from Chantal Gelly, the young Girlz pulled off a stunning victory and silenced the partisan crowd inside the stadium.
Talented striker Jo-Marie Lewis and Kaysha Taylor netted for the hosts. Winning coach Oniel Thomas said despite the short time his squad had to prepare, the girls fought tooth and nail to the end."The real Jamaican fighting spirit was on show here today. Full praise is due to the entire squad for this victory and we dedicate it to the Jamaicans at home," an elated Thomas said.
