The Barbados’ Crop Over Festival is Reaching Full Momentum

On Saturday, July 5, 2008 the official launch of this year’s Crop Over celebrations took place at the beautiful Queen’s Park. Hundreds of Barbadians converged on the venue to seize the opportunity to see the season’s hottest artistes perform at this free show. The gala featured reigning Party Monarch King Lil Rick and Road March King Mr. Dale, both members of the Pyramid Entertainment camp.

The Monarch Lil Rick has been prepping for the soca battle scheduled forSunday, June 27, 2008 on the panoramic East Coast since he has no intentions of being dethroned. However, his Pyramid peers are emerging in fine form with Peter Ram‘s contribution CarnivalPraise which honours the memory of those who perished in a tragic accident on route to the event last year. Biggie Irie who is professing his love for Bigg Girlz and Mr. Dale who is not going home Til Um Dun are both releasing songs that are proving stiff competition. The artiste Gorg, who recently joined the Pyramid Entertainment Management’s roster, has also created a stir with his songTipsy.

Having received excellent responses from the weekly Cavalcades, band fetes and heavy radio rotation, Pyramid Entertainment Management expects a strong contingent in all major competitions including Party Monarch, People Choice and the coveted Road March title.
