First Global Builds Jamaica through Music

The launch of First Global Financial Service's (FGFS) Build Jamaica with Music Project will sponsor a number of efforts that will contribute to the development of youth through good music. It will sponsor the Sonny Bradshaw School Band Competition as well as the Alpha Boys School Band, the annual Ocho Rios Jazz Festival and put on a series of Sunday concerts in Emancipation Park to expose talented young musicians. The government is supporting these efforts and the Prime Minister, the Honourable Bruce Golding, spoke at a press conference in London recently stating 'we need to support the music more and not let the negative affect the whole reggae industry.”
