Fyakin grabs the limelight

Fearless Records artiste, Fyakin, has been busy making the rounds to various stage shows and is now seeing the fruits of his labour. His latest single, You Are My Lady has crept on the Reggae Singles charts on several listings.

Last week’s Richie B’s Top 20 Reggae Singles chart saw the new entrance of You Are My Lady at number nineteen. This chart is tabulated by means of sound systems, record shops, night clubs and radio play. “I am happy for the reception the song has been getting. I couldn’t ask for nothing more,” commented the calm spirited Fyakin. It is also number three on CVM’s Hit List and number four on Stampede’s Street Pick chart.

All this is as a result of the hard work the artiste has been investing in making appearances at the major events happening islandwide. Since December, Fyakin has taken to the main stages of Reggae and Dancehall and has made it clear that he too is throwing his hat into the ring. Island Explosion, Sting, East Fest, Spring Break as well as the recently held Rise To The Occasion, have all seen the young artiste life and living colour.

Fyakin has also done several shows in the US. “He recently did five terrific performances in Orlando and he’s heading to New York next month,” said his road manager, Lamar. “He may also be on his way to Africa very soon as well.”
